Dr. George Selleck

Dr.
George Selleck functions in varied roles as psychologist,
educator, and consultant. He has more than forty years of experience
as a counselor, educator, author, coach, referee, and athlete.
Dr. Selleck is the co-founder of Parents for Good Sports, a
nonprofit organization created to help parents raise good sports.
He is also the founder of Sports for Life, Inc., an organization
dedicated to enhancing youth development through positive participation
in sports. Dr. Selleck has authored various books including
Coach Sense, the manual on effective coaching. Dr. Selleck helped
SportzVillage formulate the Sportz4Kids program.

B Jayashankar

Jayashankar serves as Director at SportzVillage. His
previous experience includes roles with Mudra, Grey Worldwide.
He was also COO at Qsupport. Jayashankar holds degrees in Science
from Loyola College, Chennai and an MBA from IRMA, and was a
Champion Javelin thrower at college.

Mr. V. Bhaskaran

well known Olympian Hockey player, Mr. V. Bhaskaran
represented India in 287 matches at the international level.
He was part of medal winning teams in tournaments such as the
2nd World Cup, Asian Games (Tehran–1974), Asian Games
(Bangkok–1978), Champions Trophy (Pakistan–1978),
Pre-Olympic Games (Moscow–1979) and, of course the Olympic
Games in Moscow 1980, where he captained India to a Gold medal.
Mr. Bhaskaran currently serves as Senior Personnel Officer /
Sports in the Southern Railways. As coach, he has been responsible
for the team winning the Gold in the Azlan Shah Tournament in
Kuala Lumpur (1995), the 4 Nations Tournament in Chandigarh
(1995) and the Junior World Cup Qualifying Round in Singapore
(1995). In addition, his team has won the Silver in the Junior
World Cup in the UK (1997)and Bronze in the Azlan Shah Tournament
in Malaysia (2006)
Mr. Bhaskaran is the recepient of many awards including the
Arjuna Award (1979), Padmashree Award (1981), All India Journalist
Award (1981), Grade I Coach (Federation Internationale de Hockey
– 1996) and Param Acharya (2007). In addition, Mr. Bhaskaran
has been awarded the Railway Ministers Award (1979) and Best
Sportsperson in the Railways Award (1980).

Dr. Usha Sujit

Dr. Usha Sujit holds a Ph.D in Physical Education
from Jiwaji University besides also having a Masters degree
in Physical Education, a P G Diploma in Sports Management and
a Certificate in Physiology of Physical Activity and Ageing
from the Western Ontario University, Canada. In addition, she
is also a Certified Fitness Instructor from Western Ontario
University.
Dr. Usha Sujit has over 18 years of Post Graduate teaching experience
and has previously been Research Assistant at LNCPE, Gwalior
and Lecturer at BPCA’s College of Physical Education,
Wadala, Mumbai. She currently holds the post of Reader at LNCPE
Thiruvananthapuram. She is also Member of Board of Studies of
Mahatma Gandhi University at Calicut, Kannur and Kerala.
Dr. Usha Sujit has had articles published in various National
and International publications including Journal of Sports Management,
North American Society for Sports Management (1993), Document
of the Olympic Museum Collection published by the International
Olympic Committee (1994), National Sports Policies; An International
Handbook published by the Greenwood Publishing House (1996).
National Level publications include Journal of Physical Education
and Sports Science. Dr. Usha Sujit was part of a collaborative
review on Global Perspectives on Healthy Ageing between the
university of Nijmegen, Netherlands and Loyola College, Trivandrum.
Over the past 18 years, Dr. Usha has attended several conferences
and workshops including the International Conference on Sports
Management (Coimbatore), “Sharing Success in Sport”
organised by the Australian Sports Commission, National Workshop
on the Development of Curriculum in Physical Education for Schools,
LNCPE, Gwalior to name just a few.
