EduSports Bags the Jury’s Award at the Sankalp Awards 2012

EduSports has bagged the prestigious Intellecap-Sankalp award for the year 2012 in the category of education and vocational training. The award was to recognize the commendable impact EduSports has had in the areas of fitness and skill improvements in children and helping over 250 physical education trainers become job-ready professionals.

A clear testimony to the impact that EduSports has had in improving the health and fitness levels of over 1.5 lakh children across 200+ schools, this recognition will motivate the EduSports team further to achieve the target of getting 1 million+ children fitter and healthier via sports/physical education by 2015. EduSports has earlier been awarded with the Lufthansa and ET Now ‘Pioneering Spirit 2011’ award as well as the NDTV and Nirmal Lifestyle ‘Spirit of Sport Award 2012’ award for promoting physical education in schools.

This year, EduSports was competed with nearly 120 nominations from across the country. The members of the jury included Mr. Dilip Chenoy - CEO & MD, National Skill Development Corporation, Mr. Dilip Modi - Managing Director, S i2 Spice Global, Mr. Satyam Darmora - Program Officer, Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and Mr. Ankur Shah – Interim Country Director, Acumen Fund. The Sankalp Forum & Awards’ are aimed at recognizing some of the most innovative, sustainable and scalable businesses across five key high impact sectors of Agriculture, Food and Rural Business, Clean Energy/Technology, Education and Vocational Training, Healthcare, Water and Sanitation Technology for Development. Today, Sankalp Awards have come to be known as India’s largest Social Enterprise Awards.
